Certifications

VenKson believes in self-certification and maintain unsurpassed quality under all circumstances in all they do, since 1999. Ipso facto, certification procedures only increase the burden of farmers, with certification cost running sky high and it being a key influencing factor to the higher price of Organic Food Products.
This may be possible for Big Corporate Sectors who mainly concentrate on Exports. They prefer to have Third Party Certifications but the huge cost and the arduous procedure involved reflects in the pricing of the products.

“Participatory Guarantee System” (PGS), comes as a great relief to the small farmers from the unnecessary cost involved in certification process. The PGS is an internationally applicable organic quality assurance system [like ISO 9000] implemented and controlled by the committed organic farmer-producers through active participation, along with the consumers, in the process based on verifiable trust. The quality assurance standards are harmonized by the PGS Organic Council, which permits the use of its PGS label on a product as a mark of quality.

The International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements or IFOAM defines PGS thus: “Participatory Guarantee Systems are locally focused quality assurance systems. They certify producers based on active participation of stakeholders and are built on a foundation of trust, social networks and knowledge exchange.”

VenKson source the produce directly from farmers and the quality assurance is done by “Tamilnadu Farmer’s Technology Association – a unit of ADISIL”.
VenKson further maintains transparent records about the sourcing details and ensure ethical business practices and concentrate on giving authentic products.
